Visual Studio 2008 provides intellisense support for JavaScript. Unfortunately, because of certain reasons (Click here to read reasons) it doesn't work with jQuery.
So here is a workaround from Brennan's Blog where you can reference the real jQuery script from the web pages and within your scripts you can reference a stub for jQuery that is simply a shell with Xml Doc.
