On an iPhone when a password is typed the last character in the row is shown in plain text. Take the same idea and put it on your web page powered with some jQuery love and you have a delayed password masking control.
The security risk is totally debatable. But then if you really don't care about all that go for this script. And of course Non-JS users get the common masked password fields.
